I felt it was enough of an issue that I should at the very least give Tully his own individual recognition

Hey now, that just made my day! Ok, so is this a result of me pushing my own site? Well, yes, in a way… See, I got lost in the shuffle a couple months back, figured I did, but up till now didn’t do anything about it.

Back a couple months ago, Gack Ink was brand new and working out some bugs with the site and template. They did an open call for blog submissions (which I of course jumped on), I was accepted, there were some posting issues, and I was forgotten. Someone’s fault? DAMNED RIGHT – Mine.

Mine? Absolutely. If I thought that my site was worthy enough the first time to be submitted, let alone be accepted, why didn’t I say something earlier? Would it be easier to say something later? *ah-hem* (we’ll get to that). Are there other things I’m not standing up for and I’m letting slide?!

It was quite the eye-opener today when I decided to send an email inquiring as to why I’d been overlooked… Here I am, two months later sheepishly asking why my blog isn’t listed. Yeah, not fun because a) I didn’t want the ladies at Gack to feel bad knowing what it’s like to start a new project such as this, b) I felt like a tool for not standing up for it sooner (would have been easier then!), and c) how do I get across that I believe in my blog, I believe in their site, and it’s not all about my blog?

And so, to the ladies at Gack, thank you for the inclusion into your site, and the generous words/recommendation in your post. Things happen, and I hope I was able to help work out some bugs so that the site can grow to meet it’s potential.
