LE Blog Graphics Update

For those who actually visit the site, you may have noticed some small graphics changes taking place over the last week or so. It would seem that my mad skillz in CSS are starting to show, which means I’ve upgraded the template a bit here and there.

So what’s been done? Glad you asked!

• Header graphic was tweaked a couple weeks back to give it a bit more definition.
• Sidebar modules now have a fancy header graphic that matches the “LE” logo in the header!
• Stripped out the annoying grey lines too that played havoc throughout the sidebar widgets too – that was a glorious day!
• Dove into the blockquote bit and gave it some simple, multi-thickness borders to give it that ever popular drop shadow feel without actually having to code in a drop shadow
• Cleaned up that annoying “Credits” part in the footer, but still have challenges with the Creative Commons licensing bit – it works, but it still isn’t pretty..
• Also applied some nice formatting to the What Would Seth Godin Do? box similar to the blockquotes.

So is that it? At this point yes, however, the next project will be dealing with the article separators I created back many months ago (the black horizontal lines with the little down arrow thingy, and the grey ones too). I felt the template needed something to make clear distinction between posts, however, they are beginning to grow tiresome and are harsh sharp edged lines in a more softer blog… Think of it like eating a Yorkshire Pudding with two Henckels steak knives – sure it works, but it isn’t pretty… (then I loaded up the Zwilling J.A. Kenckels AG – glad I don’t answer the phone there – website only to see the knife on the rose image.. *sigh*)

However, in the mean time I whipped together a couple FREE WALLPAPERS!

Both are 1280×1024 (17″ LCD screen size ’cause that’s what I have) and are truly for the die-hard LOGICal eMOTIONs Blog fan in your life!

Oh yeah, I also did up a SOBCon 08 button because Liz mentioned how much she liked my logo, which inspired me, and led to all this graphical madness in the first place..
