An L.E.?

Is there such a thing as a ‘logical emotion’? Um… No. Much to my own dismay there really isn’t. Typically we have an emotional experience (significant or not), and we apply logic afterwards.. Yeah, I know, not exactly what you wanted to hear, eh? Trust me, it was the last thing I wanted to write..

Ok, so think of it this way: when people are out buying a house it is purely an emotional experience first in the form of ‘I like this house’, ‘I don’t like this house’, or ‘I LOVE THIS HOUSE!!!’.. If you haven’t bought a house yourself, ask someone who just bought one why they decided on it. Typically the first response is something along the lines of, “I walked in and just fell in love with it!”. Hence the emotional experience. THEN comes the logic – also known as justification. It spits out things like being close to schools, groceries, work, etc. etc.. We all know it’s irrelevant but we feel better after making a completely logical decision for purchasing such a fine house.

Now there are times where the house that was fallen in love with is NOT purchased, and it’s usually due to something major, ie., structural, environmental, or excessive cost(s).

Right then, so what’s my point… Essentially that there isn’t ‘logic’ THEN ‘emotion’. Ever. You can’t have a logical thought and then get all excited about it. There was an emotion that created the thought and fueled the logic. We are emotional beings. Everything starts with emotions. Geeze, did I just write that?!

Proof yet again that this blog is going to be rather interesting over time. I am considered a logical person who displays little emotion (unless angry) who is coming to the realization that at some point emotions are required to take ‘it’ to the next level.

I have a book in the works and this blog will fit nicely and be a significant part of it as I work out ideas and concepts for it.
